Victorian success at Nationals in WA
Congratulations to Maddie Jacobs of Ocean Grove BC and Maya Rees of Drysdale who were part of the Victorian junior squad and Mick West of Ocean Grove in the Senior State Side to play at The Nationals Championship in WA. The competition included:
- Under 18s
- Para Nationals
- M & W Champion of Champions
- M & W Senior State Sides
- M & W Open State Sides
- Australian Championships
The event runs from 6th to 20th October, 2023.
At the conclusion of the Under 18s, the Victoria squad was Overall Runners-up and Maddie Jacobs playing with Amity Bickley won Gold in the Girls Pairs. Well done to all, supported by State Coach Matt Flapper and acting assistant coach, Nicole Shortis.
The Victorian Senior State Squads also had success, with the Women’s squad winning back-to-back Gold and the Men’s squad (including Geelong’s Mick West) taking out Silver.
Nearing the end of the Nationals campaign, the Victorian Open Women’s Side took out the title, winning Gold. Well done Vics.
