Women win Gold in BV Region Side C’Ships silver section!

Geelong Bowls Region’s Mens & Womens selected squads competed in the BV State Region Sides Championships in Moama & Echuca 26-28th May, 2023.  Seven games of round robin over three days were played with the Women finishing top of the ladder and earning a place in the Final against Mornington Peninsula.  It was a game dominated by all three GBR teams and earned them a 44-16 win and the Gold medal in the Silver section.  GBR will now compete in the Gold section in next year’s event.  Congratulations to all.

The GBR Women’s Selector Chair, Kaye Robison said Barb, Tonia and herself are proud selectors, stating “our side was amazing, thank you girls, you exceeded all our expectations and excelled in the belief we had in you”.

The Men’s squad finished 5th after the round robin matches.
