FURTHER UPDATE for Sat Pennant Prelim Finals

Preliminary Finals have been postponed. There will be no bowls Sunday 10/3.

Update 9/3/24 1.00pm
GBR Pennant Committee with GBR Board approval have made the decision to postpone tomorrow’s Preliminary Finals.

Preliminary Finals will now be held on Saturday 16th March starting at 10.00am with trial ends commencing at 9.40am.

The Grand Finals will be held on Sunday 17th March with staggered start times:
Division 1 Section 2 down to Division 6 Section 2 – 10am start with trial ends from 9.40am
Premier & Division 1 Section 1 – 2pm start. The second named team will have practice from 12.00pm to 12.30pm and the first name team will have practice from 12.30pm to 1.00pm

Due to the expected high temperature for this Saturday 9th March, GBR Pennant has made the decision that the Preliminary Finals will start at 10.00am to try and get the games completed on Saturday.
There will be 2 trial ends which should start at 9.40am, as per Midweek Pennant.

If a game is not completed before the 36-degree cut off, players will need to wait an hour to see if the temperature drops. If it doesn’t, then they will need to return on Sunday to resume the game. Players will be allowed 2 trial ends before recommencing the game. The time for this will be the same as Saturday, i.e. 9.40am trial ends and game starting at 10.00am.

TOTAL FIRE BAN:
If a Total Fire Ban is declared for the Victorian Central Fire district for Saturday, then all games will be played on Sunday with trial ends starting at 9.40am and game commencing at 10.00am
